KALYANI GANESAN

Kalyani Ganesan born in 1949 had initial vocal training under mother Mrs.Rajalakshmi Haran who belonged to the sishya parampara of Gayakasikamani Harikesanallur Muthaiah Bhagavathar.  Started learning Veena from Smt.Balambal who was the first woman Sangitha Bhushanam from Annamalai University.  Passed Sangitha vidwan course and then Teachers' Training in 1968 from the Central ollege of Carnatic music. Advance Training from Sri M.A.Kalyana Krishna Bhagavadhar. M.A. in Indian Music from Madras University.  Worked as a Veena Professor at Tamilnadu Govt. Music College, Chennai 600028 for more than twenty five years. Also worked as Professor in Veena at 'The Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society'.  Has hundreds of public performances all over India and also across several other countries like America Canada Malaysia Singapore and UK which have been highly appreciated by the audience.  Received Best Senior Veena Player Award from Music Academy, Krishna Gana Sabha and other reputed institutions.   Top graded ( A Top) artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, given special concerts like Sangitha Sammelanam and National Programmes in AIR and Doordarshan.   Won many awards and titles such as Best Senior Veena Artist from Music Academy ,Krishnaganasabha and other prestigious organizations some of them are
